VAV MinistriesGifts of every kind

Legacy & estate giving

A legacy that continues to serve.

For those who prayerfully choose it, VAV may be considered in a will, trust, beneficiary designation or estate plan—freely, carefully and with independent counsel.

A gentle invitation

Your family, freedom and intentions come first.

VAV will never pressure a person to change an estate plan, disinherit another person or make a decision during grief, illness, crisis or diminished capacity. A conversation creates no obligation and no public recognition.

Donors may choose whether VAV is told during life. Anonymous intentions can remain private, though advance coordination may help avoid a gift VAV cannot responsibly accept.

Ways to consider

Many forms. One careful process.

01

Will or living trust

Name VAV for a specific amount, percentage, asset or remainder through documents prepared by the donor’s independent attorney.

02

Beneficiary designation

Consider a revocable designation on an eligible retirement account, life-insurance policy, bank or investment account, subject to provider and advisor guidance.

03

Real estate & ranches

Homes, land, farms, ranches and other real property require title, debt, environmental, carrying-cost, use and disposition review before acceptance.

04

Business & financial interests

Closely held interests, securities and other financial assets require authority, transferability, valuation, tax, liability and governance review.

05

Collections & valuables

Art, jewelry, precious metals, vehicles, equipment, libraries, memorabilia and other collections require provenance, condition, valuation, custody and disposition planning.

06

A legacy not listed

A donor or advisor may begin a confidential conversation about another planned gift without committing the donor or VAV.

Donor protection

Stewardship without influence.

Donor freedom

A planned gift remains the donor’s choice and may be changed when the governing instrument permits. No spiritual pressure, urgency or promised favor.

Independent counsel

The donor uses their own attorney, tax professional and financial advisor. VAV does not draft, witness or notarize the donor’s will or trust.

No automatic acceptance

Naming VAV does not require VAV to accept a property, restriction, liability or operating obligation. Gift-acceptance authority remains separate.

Protected information

Draft estate documents, account numbers, medical information, family details and beneficiary data never belong in a public form, ordinary email, analytics or GitHub.

Governed pathway

Interest is not acceptance.

The public website will remain an introduction—not the estate system of record.

  1. 01

    General inquiry

Share only a broad gift category and preferred contact method.

  2. 02

    Authorized review

A designated legacy-gift reviewer confirms ministry fit and the appropriate professional process.

  3. 03

    Independent planning

The donor’s advisors prepare and explain all legal and tax documents.

  4. 04

    Restricted evidence

Only requested excerpts or confirmations enter the confidential record with access and retention controls.

  5. 05

    Estate administration

After a future triggering event, authorized representatives verify authority, assets, restrictions and acceptance before transfer.

For an attorney or advisor

Identity details must be verified before documents are signed.

VAV will eventually provide a verified legal name, entity type, mailing address and tax-identification details through a restricted confirmation process. The website will not publish sample bequest language or represent tax deductibility until the legal entity and current status evidence are approved.

No donor should rely on the ministry’s public-facing name alone when preparing legal documents.

Pathway in preparation

Begin privately, without sending estate documents.

The dedicated legacy inquiry and advisor confirmation workflow are not active. Until governance is approved, use the general connection pathway only to request a future confidential conversation.
